Cary Senior Portrait Julia G
When Julia G was enjoying her summer before her senior year, and working hard at Cary Academy’s Summer programs, she made plans for her Cary Senior Portrait. We loved working with Julia and her family and could hardly wait for her session!
Julia wanted a vintage, old, country look for her portraits – but no barns! We met Julia on a warm late July evening in downtown Apex, NC — the perfect setting. The whitewashed brick buildings and the rough old sidewalks were just the look she wanted. Julia looked right at home on the curb of the old gas station on the quiet small town street. We then moved to our secret spot near Jordan Lake for some beautiful natural shots of Julia with her guitar framed with lush green trees. Julia LOVES road trips and has been to 47 states, so we captured her throwing darts at a US map on a tree. Where will she go next?
We met with Julia and her family a few weeks after the shoot to share her portrait gallery. Julia chose her yearbook photo. Her family chose some of their favorites to have made into prints for family and friends. A few months later, in the early spring, just before graduation, we used her favorite portraits to design graduation announcement cards for her.
Julia is planning to go to an out of state college to experience a new place away from home. She wants to major in neuroscience, because the brain is ‘amazing and mysterious’. Ultimately, she plans to go to medical school to become a pediatric surgeon. Julia is driven to succeed, loves life, and is adventurous. But she also appreciates the little moments in life, including time with her family (from North Carolina and South Jersey).
