Senior Year has a way of arriving faster than you expect. One moment, life feels like its usual rhythm of busy schedules and routines, and the next, you are booking graduation portraits and making college decisions, realizing that everything is about to change.

For the Class of 2026, this season is here and this is their moment. Filled with milestones and emotions, and moments where you are holding the tension of excitement and the change. As a senior portrait photographer, we have the privilege of walking alongside families during this time, and we see firsthand just how much this season matters. These are the moments that become part of their story (and yours!) and will stay with your family for the years to come.

One Last Chance to Capture This Season

Our graduation portraits are a complimentary part of our senior portrait experience. We include them because this moment deserves to be captured with intention, rounding out the senior year experience.

By the time graduation arrives, everything feels more real. Most seniors step into their cap and gown, or wear the future college gear that represents years of their hard work and dedication. While others take the opportunity to create a professional headshot for future internship opportunities.

Each graduation portrait session carries a sense of pride and anticipation. It is an intentional moment to pause and recognize how far your child has come. For many families, these portraits become some of the most meaningful images from Senior Year. We love seeing them displayed at graduation parties, shared with everyone who loves them, and being held onto as a reminder of who your child was at this exact point in time.

Where They’re Headed Next

This is the part that makes everything feel real. These seniors are just a small glimpse of the Class of 2026 that we had the honor of photographing this year. Each one has their own story, their own path, and their own set of dreams, and we are so proud to share this moment with them.

Cate and Alina are both heading to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Sarah is off to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Jonah is heading to Georgetown University, in Washington D.C.

Each of these seniors has worked incredibly hard to reach this point, and this week, as they begin moving into their colleges, we find ourselves thinking of them and everything that brought them here. Their paths are different, and their goals are uniquely their own, yet they all share a sense of readiness for what comes next.

It is a privilege to capture them at this stage of life, in the space between what has been and what is just beginning. Their graduation portraits reflect that sense of possibility, confidence, and excitement as they step into this next chapter.

And Just Like That, They’re Off

Senior Year brings a shift that is hard to describe until you experience it. There is pride in everything your child has accomplished, and there is also an awareness that life is about to look so different – for them, and for you. You have spent years supporting them, showing up for them, and helping them grow into who they are. Now, they are preparing to take those next steps on their own.

Graduation portraits uniquely serve this moment, capturing your child as they are right now, before they step into their next chapter. They reflect their personality, their confidence, and the life they are about to create for themselves. For many parents, these images become something deeply personal. They are a way to hold onto this season, even as everything begins to move forward.

We are so proud of our Class of 2026. It has been an honor to photograph these seniors and celebrate them through their graduation portraits. To every parent reading this, we understand how much this moment means. We know how proud you are of who your child has become and we love getting to celebrate your children with you.
