Introducing Tim & Ben Peterson
Meet Tim and Ben, high school senior twins from the Triangle area of North Carolina. Their senior portrait sessions were as unique and dynamic as they are, with Tim’s session taking place in Downtown Durham and at the Eno River State Park, and Ben’s session set against the charming backdrop of Downtown Apex and serene Jordan Lake. Then, we kicked off the action on the soccer field, showcasing the twins’ mutual love of soccer.

Tim’s Portrait Session: Nature meets Urban
We began with Tim’s senior portrait session in nature at the tranquil-yet-rugged Eno River State Park, where Tim’s love for nature and his adventurous spirit were evident. The natural beauty of the wild river setting created a down-to-earth atmosphere, which contrasted beautifully with our next location: Downtown Durham. With it’s vibrant murals and bustling, urban center, and with Tim in a fitted, tailored suit, we captured his artistic side and created a diverse collection of images.

Ben’s Portrait Session: Small Town Charm and Serenity at Jordan Lake
When it came to Ben’s senior portrait session, he wanted to focus on his hometown of Apex, North Carolina and so by featuring its small town charm as well as its neighboring lake, Ben was in his element. Downtown Apex’s historic buildings provided a warm and familiar backdrop, reflecting Ben’s down-to-earth nature and friendly personality. The quaint streets and charming architecture of Apex added a touch of warmth and tradition to his portraits, while picturesque Jordan Lake added a tranquil and reflective tone. The calm waters and golden hour beauty of the lake at sunset offered a peaceful counterpoint to the bustling streets of Apex, showcasing Ben’s love for both adventure and relaxation.

In addition to their individual sessions, Tim and Ben teamed up for a joint session that celebrated their close bond as brothers and their shared love of soccer. As both of the boys play for Wake FC, capturing them in their uniform and on the turf was important to recognizing the important part this this sport plays in their lives. Capturing candid moments on the field, as well as relaxed portraits together with their beloved dog, we highlighted their family connection and competitive spirit, making for a special and memorable collection of images.
