Downtown Cary Senior Portraits Salma 2019

Salma is in the Cary Academy Class of 2019.   Just after the spring trimester break of her junior year, she and her mom reached out to us for Downtown Cary Senior Portraits.

We met with Salma and her mom to plan their Downtown Cary Senior Portraits session.  We learned that Salma is active in the swim team and Beta Club.  She and her mom agreed that they wanted a simple senior session that would allow Salma’s personality to shine through. Their family home has special significance and they wanted to include that in the session.

A few weeks before her session, Justin met with Salma and her mom to help them ‘shop her closet’ for the perfect outfits for her session.  They reviewed the plans for the session and chose outfits that Salma was comfortable in, and that complimented her session itinerary.   Salma was relieved not have to make these decisions all by herself!  Justin also reviewed possible wall art locations in their home so that we could prepare some designs for them to view.

In mid June, Teresa and her team met Salma at her home.  The portraits of her on the front porch of her home were a perfect, comfortable beginning. She looked (literally) right at home for her Downtown Cary Senior Portraits.  They all laughed at Salma’s mom for drinking coffee mid-afternoon on one of the hottest days of summer!

Salma’s younger sister loves photography and enjoyed talking to Teresa about what she was doing.  We can’t wait to do her senior portraits in the future!

Salma and the team moved to downtown Cary for the second part of the session.  Our favorite portraits are the ones of Salma in front of the blue and white bird mural. It was a beautiful compliment to her dress, and captured her joy and spirit.

Just a few days after Salma started her senior year, she and her family returned to the studio to view a slide show of her portraits and over 60 portrait proofs on our gallery wall. Salma chose her yearbook portraits with Teresa’s help.  The family also fell in love with the portrait of Salma in front of the blue mural, and decided to enjoy it as a canvas in their home.  We delivered and installed it for them in the fall.

Salma is no doubt soaring to beautiful (blue) heights as she wraps up her senior year!
