Right after she finished her junior year at Cary Academy, Katie B (Class of 2017) contacted us to plan senior portraits. She had some great girls senior picture ideas. Teresa was excited to get to know Katie and hear her ideas.
Girls Senior Picture Ideas: Katie B
Katie and mom, Deanna, met with Teresa in late May. We learned that Katie likes to draw and paint. She loves being outdoors biking and walking with her dog, Lexie. She is also learning to play the ukulele! Her girls senior picture ideas included a natural setting, with some architectural structure as well. Teresa suggested UNC or Raulston arboretum. After reviewing some of Teresa’s portfolio portraits, Katie chose the arboretum.
On the original session date, rain and storms prevented the shoot, so it was re-scheduled for a week later. Katie and her mom had a few tears of joy at the first ‘senior year thing’ when they arrived! Katie’s gorgeous blue eyes were spectacular. Especially around the yellow flowers. She was stunning in her white dress. For a contrast, she also wore a lacy black dress, and then a more casual outfit of jeans and a simple shirt. It was hot, but bottles of water and the occasional break to sit in the air conditioned car made it manageable. Katie’s girls senior pictures ideas came to life!
When they returned to the studio a few weeks later, Katie and her mom were thrilled to see over 50 matted proofs from her senior portrait session. Teresa explained the yearbook guidelines and they chose Katie’s favorites. Teresa designed some beautiful custom canvas wall art for them, and they chose a 20X30 for their home. They also wanted something else as a keepsake, so they selected a linen folio box with ribbon closure that holds 15 matted prints. They couldn’t bear to leave any of the portraits behind, so they also selected their digital file collection.
When the custom canvas arrived, we professionally installed it for them. We don’t want to leave anyone with a project! They loved the folio box with prints and were excited to share with family and friends.
Katie has graduated and is off to her next adventure!
