A few days before starting his senior year (Cary Academy, Class of 2017), Patrick reached out to My Friend Teresa Studios to plan his high school senior photos.

When they met, Teresa learned that Patrick loves tennis and has been playing for years. He also works at the YMCA as a counselor – he loves the kids! After some discussion, Teresa recommended that they start the shoot at the the Hunt Library at NC State. The library has many colorful architectural features and beautiful, light, open spaces. Of course, they planned to include some tennis shots at Patrick’s home courts in his high school senior photos session.
They met on an early September evening at the Hunt library. The library was busy, but Patrick was unfazed! They got a good laugh together when they played ‘hide the clothes’ so they didn’t have to carry them around (a stall in the ladies room worked!). Teresa loved how great Patrick was at posing.
After an hour or so, they drove to Patrick’s favorite tennis courts for some shots. He has been playing there since he was 9 years old, so it was perfect! After some classic shots, they all had a laugh when Teresa had Patrick ‘bite’ the tennis ball like a big giant lemon.
Patrick returned to the studio with his mom a few weeks later. They watched a slideshow of Patrick’s high school senior photos, and then Teresa ‘revealed’ them all on the gallery wall. With the yearbook guidelines in mind, Patrick chose his portraits. Teresa submitted them on his behalf.
They also decided on their 10 favorite portraits for digital files. Teresa completed some final retouch and also created black and white versions of each of the selected files. These full resolution files come with unlimited print rights, so Patrick can use and share as much as he wants.
Patrick graduated in the spring of 2017 and hopefully is still finding some time for tennis!
