Damon received information from Cary Academy about high school senior picture for yearbook and approved photographers. He contacted My Friend Teresa and we scheduled a planning meeting with him and his mom and dad.
High School Senior Picture: Damon B
Teresa met the Blair family and discussed what they were looking for in their senior portraits. Damon is passionate about music, so including some shots of Damon with his alto sax was important. Damon also enjoys the outdoors, including hiking and rafting. They wanted both some more urban shots and some nature shots, so Teresa suggested that they start the session at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham, and then move to West Point on the Eno.
Teresa met Damon and his family at the American Tobacco Campus in mid-August. The family was crestfallen when they realized that they forgot to bring Damon’s sax! No worries – they went ahead with the shoot and just planned an additional short session for a few days later.
When Teresa met them a few days later for shots with the saxophone, everyone was so excited! Just as they got started, a mis-informed security guard insisted that they leave (Teresa had permission to be there, but there was no arguing the point!). So, sax in hand, they moved back to West Point on the Eno for some awesome shots. They turned out to be a great combination of Damon’s love of the outdoors and his sax.
Damon and his family came to the studio a few weeks later for their selection appointment. They were excited to see a whole gallery wall of Damon’s portraits. Teresa described the yearbook guidelines and they selected Damon’s portraits for submission. Teresa used her online tools to design several canvas wall art groupings for their home which they loved! They couldn’t imagine not having all of the portraits, so they also purchased their digital collection.
A few weeks later, Teresa and her team went to their home to professionally install the canvases. Damon’s family was so pleased, they also planned a family session for the spring before Damon headed off to college.
We loved working with Damon and his family and wish Damon well in college!
