In July before her senior year, Alisha (Cary Academy Class of 2017) asked My Friend Teresa to work with her to create a beautiful high school senior portrait Cary. We were thrilled!
High School Senior Portrait Cary: Alisha 2017
We met with Alisha and her parents in early July to get to know Alisha better, and find out Alisha’s vision for her high school senior portrait Cary. We learned that Alisha loves music, Indian dance, TV, and walking with friends. She is on the debate team at school and was top 50 at the nationals in original oratory.
Alisha wanted to capture lots of laughter. She also wanted her formal portraits in a traditional lehenga. She chose the JC Raulston Arboretum for her formal portraits, then downtown Raleigh’s warehouse district for some more casual ones.
In late July, Teresa and Alisha met in Raleigh at the arboretum for her session. Alisha was absolutely stunning in her lehenga, sporting beautiful new earrings. There was lots of laughter – especially about the importance of shoes! Alisha’s younger sister came along, so Teresa got some pictures of the two of them together. Alisha changed to more casual clothes and looked right at home as they moved to the urban warehouse district.
A few weeks after the shoot, Alisha and her family (including two cousins), came to the studio to view her portraits. The girls had a great time enjoying Alisha’s beautiful portraits! They helped her choose her favorites for the yearbook. Teresa was also able to show Alisha and her family a beautiful grouping of canvases for their walls and they loved it! They ordered the grouping and also the full digital collection so they could continue to enjoy the portraits and share with family and friends.
Alisha is ready to graduate soon and we will be watching as she laughs and dances into the future!
