Meet Alessia, a field hockey-playing high school senior with a love of architecture and beautiful real estate. Alessia’s senior portrait session was a beautiful blend of natural beauty and architectural grandeur, taking place at some of her favorite places: the stunning Lake Norman in Charlotte and the iconic Duke Chapel in Durham.

Nature meets Elegance in Alessia’s Senior Portrait Session
Alessia wanted to make sure that her senior portrait session had a bright and airy, refined, feel with an elegant ‘country club’ aesthetic, and wanted to feature some of her favorite backdrops, like the impressive Duke Chapel. We loved marrying her ideas together and creating a collection of senior portraits that featured the best of North Carolina’s quintessential southern charm, and contrasting lush greenery and manicured flower gardens with the classic and imposing architecture of Duke Chapel, all while keeping Alessia at the center of it all.
Strolling around Lake Norman
We began Alessia’s session at Lake Norman, where Alessia has grown up visiting her family. With its serene waters, captivating flower gardens
and peaceful atmosphere, the Lake glittered in the background of Alessia’s senior pictures and provided a beautiful backdrop to her refined outfit choices. Alessia’s graceful poses and natural beauty harmonized perfectly with the Lake’s gardens and tranquil backgrounds. We made sure to capture some portraits of Alessia strolling through the towns that surround the Lake too, to add depth and dimension to her senior portraits, all while honing in on the southern charm of the area.
Whether posing in front of the imposing Duke Chapel or Downtown around Lake Norman, Alessia’s senior portrait session showcased her favorite places.

Next, we traveled to Duke Chapel in Durham, closer to where Alessia lives, where the stunning architecture provided an imposing backdrop for Alessia’s senior pictures. The intricate details and towering spires of the chapel added a sense of grandeur to the session, emphasizing Alessia’s sophistication and elegance. Each shot was intentionally crafted to reflect the essence of this remarkable location, blending Alessia’s classic style with the chapel’s own.
