We love working with our families…especially when they start young. Our award winning newborn portraits photographer, Aurora DeLuca, is our baby whisperer! She creates amazing newborn photos that capture a special time for each family in a relaxed and stress-free newborn session.
Newborn Portraits: Auroras, Wolfpacks, and Sorting Hats
Victoria and Brian approached us near the end of their pregnancy to plan newborn photos for their baby girl – their first child! They were glad to learn that Aurora, our newborn portraits photographer, is very experienced at handling and posing newborns safely and comfortably…and in fact teaches others these skills. When we learned Victoria and Brian had picked the name ‘Aurora’ for their new addition, we knew it was meant to be!
We met with Victoria and Brian at our studio in downtown Cary to get to know them. We learned they love all things Harry Potter. And of course, anything aurora-themed! Both Victoria and Brian are big NC State fans, and they definitely wanted portraits of the whole family together. We got busy planning creative newborn portraits for baby Aurora while we all waited on her arrival!
About a week after her birth, Baby Aurora brought mom and dad to the studio for their newborn photos session. They were thrilled that we had scored some authentic NC State vintage Reynolds Coliseum chairs. Baby Aurora posed with “Tuffy” aka Mr. Wolf, and slept through it all.
Some iridescent blue fabric reminiscent of the aurora borealis, with Baby Aurora curled in the middle was stunning! And a soft blanket and small crown were the perfect touches.
A felt hat reminiscent of a ‘sorting hat’, and some cuddle time with Victoria and Brian, rounded out their newborn portraits session.
Victoria and Brian were able to relax in our comfortable studio to watch Aurora pose Baby Aurora. They enjoyed the short break together and snuck in some touching family photos. Their behind the scenes video captures their experience and their love for Baby Aurora.
A few weeks later, Victoria, Brian, and Baby Aurora returned to our studio to view their newborn portraits and family video. Baby Aurora had already grown and changed in just a few weeks! They were thrilled with Baby Aurora’s newborn photos and the video. They chose a few super-favorites from the over 60 proofs. It wasn’t easy…“They are all super favorites!”
We were thrilled to capture this special time for this family, and to welcome them to the My Friend Teresa family.
