A couple of months before she started her senior year, Siobhan C was looking for a photographer specializing senior portraits. She contacted My Friend Teresa Studios, and we were so excited to work with her!
Photographer Specializing Senior Portraits
Siobhan was clear that she wanted an urban, slightly ‘grunge’ look for her portraits – definitely not a preppy girl! On a late July evening we met her at the American Tobacco campus in downtown Durham. The black iron railings and red brick buildings were the perfect backdrop for her dark curly hair and bright blue eyes. Whether it was perched on a park bench or relaxing on the brick stairs, Siobhan looked right at home and smiles were abundant. Several graffiti walls captured our attention and were the perfect backdrop that captured her personality. The blue in her eyes really stood out!
After her session, Siobhan and her family met with us to view their portrait proofs and make some decisions. With nearly 50 to choose from, the decisions were tough. Siobhan picked her favorite portrait as her yearbook photo. She and her family were so thrilled with all of their portraits they decided to purchase their entire digital collection. Now they can have them to use and print and share as much as they want.
Siobhan is known as a fiercely loyal friend and is passionate about her future. She plans to attend a large in-state university to study chemistry — but this is just the start. Her long term goal is to become a physician. She has had this dream since she was a child, and hopes to eventually work with Doctors Without Borders. Siobhan has already travelled extensively – she was born in South Africa, lived in England, and then moved to the US. Her parents are proud of her tenacity and can’t wait to see her future unfold. Neither can we!
