The Wigglesworth family was planning for daughter Maddy’s graduation (Apex High School, Class of 2016) and were looking for photographers Apex NC. They wanted senior portraits that captured Maddy’s spirit and this important life milestone. Maddy’s good friend, Ella, had her senior portrait session with Teresa, and recommended My Friend Teresa Studios to the Wigglesworth family.
Teresa met with Maddy and her mom in early March. Maddy loves reading fantasy and sci fi, and enjoys writing. She aspires to be an author or librarian. She has a few mobility issues, but this doesn’t slow her down! Teresa recommended the Hunt Library as a perfect location to reflect Maddy’s love of books, and for its varied colors, cool spaces, and bright natural light. It’s like no other library!
Maddy’s parents also wanted family portraits at this important milestone. The flowers, open spaces, rustic buildings, and dog-friendly space of Fletcher Park were the perfect fit. Hershey, the family dog, was definitely included!
In early April, Teresa met Maddy and her parents at Hunt Library. It was a busy Saturday. There were lots of families there for an event, complete with a panda bear mascot greeting people in the lobby. This made for a hilarious start to the shoot (and some epic quick shots of Maddy with the panda!). Maddy had several outfits and she looked right at home in the various library spaces. Teresa had her laughing in no time!
A few days later, Teresa met Maddy and her family (and Hershey!) at Fletcher Park. Hershey and Maddy have a special relationship that Teresa was able to capture beautifully. The family portraits were amazing with bright flowers and filtered light. A few special shots of Maddy with her mom captured this special time in their lives just before Maddy headed out on her big adventure to college.
When Teresa met with Maddy and her family to view the portraits they knew they chose the right photographers Apex NC. The session started with a short video compilation of the session. There were tears of joy and love at how Teresa was able to capture this family and this special time. Maddy chose her favorites and together they decided on family portraits. Teresa recommended a 3-canvas grouping of wall art for their home and they loved it! They also chose a framed collage, some items for their desks, graduation cards, and some accordion books to share.
Maddy has graduated and started her college experience at UNC-Asheville. We look forward to hearing about her adventures and accomplishments!
