Senior Picture Cary Hanna S (Class of 2017)
Just as the Fourth of July fireworks were fading, Hanna reached out to My Friend Teresa Studios to discuss her senior picture Cary. Teresa had done senior portraits for brother Zack a few years ago, so she knew Teresa was the right choice.
Senior Picture Cary: Hanna S (Class of 2017)
To get started, Teresa met with Hanna and Mom, Diana, in early July. She learned that Hanna wants to be an environmental journalist and has a passion for backpacking. She is editor in chief of the yearbook. She also has a passion for writing and reading. Hanna was seeking a natural setting for her portraits, to reflect her passions. West Point on the Eno was the perfect place!
Teresa and Hanna met at West Point on the Eno on a very warm and humid late July evening – the hottest day of the year so far. They joked that Hanna was a little crazy to be wearing a flannel shirt and pants for one of her outfits. With much laughter they got great portraits. Hanna was fearless and tough – wading into the Eno to pose with a fallen tree. Teresa followed for some epic shots. Hanna even offered Teresa her walking stick! Because it was so warm, there were lots of other people in the water too – but Teresa got some great isolated shots of Hanna. The final epic shots were of Hanna floating in the water with her hair spread around in the water. Beautiful!
Hanna and her mom met with Teresa a few weeks later for their reveal and ordering appointment. They loved the video montage of all of Hanna’s amazing portraits. As editor in chief, Hanna knew exactly which portraits she wanted for her yearbook selections. Mom, Diana, was thrilled that Teresa was able to recall Zack’s portraits from the archives and she chose a canvas of each child to display together. As a special keepsake of this milestone time, they asked Teresa to design a custom linen album with 25-30 of Hanna’s favorite portraits. Teresa also designed some mini-accordion books for them to share with family.
Hanna is graduating soon and moving on to her next adventure….no doubt something outdoors!
