Meet Carson
Every senior portrait session tells its own story, and Carson Pollock’s professional senior pictures told the story of his adventurous and athletic spirit. Carson is a charming high school senior who loves the great outdoors. We loved capturing his zest for life during his senior portrait session and seeing his natural affinity for exploring the world around him in every image.
As a senior at Cary Academy, Carson has been part of their student-led Outdoors Club since the 9th Grade. As part of this, his school life has been bookended with camping trips to the North Carolina mountains twice a year. These experiences have shaped his appreciation for the outdoors and given him countless memories to share.
Carson’s Senior Portrait Session
The first step in our senior portrait experience is our planning meeting, where we get to know your child and what they love. When we met with him, we realized that authentic senior pictures for Carson meant choosing a location that would highlight his adventurous side while also showing his love for classic style.
We chose the Historic Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough, NC as the perfect backdrop for Carson’s professional senior pictures, with its mix of wooded trails, water, rocks, and old, abandoned cars. This iconic location in nearby Hillsborough, NC, created the rugged, earthy setting he wanted for his senior photography, and the addition of an old car tied in his vision perfectly.
To add contrast and dimension to his professional senior pictures, we helped Carson choose three outfits, which gave variety. As Carson enjoys getting dressed up, he wore a formal collared shirt and tie, but then changed into casual and semi-casual outfits, so that all sides of him were represented.
During the session, we got to hear all of Carson’s camping stories while walking throughout the speedway, and it was clear that this setting felt true to who he is. Carson’s free-spirited personality shone in his senior portrait session, whether he was posing on top of an old car or amidst the trees, we loved the authenticity that this session celebrated. The result was a completely personalized senior portrait session that captured his confidence, individuality, and readiness for the next chapter.
The Historic Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough was the perfect setting for telling Carson’s story in his professional senior pictures. We loved seeing him relax into the session and enjoy the experience.
Be You, With Us
Your child’s senior pictures are a chance to celebrate who they are right now, while creating portraits that your family will treasure for the years to come. At My Friend Teresa Studios, we focus on creating a one-of-a-kind senior portrait experience that feels natural, fun, and true to who they are.
If you’re searching for the best photographer for senior pictures or looking up ‘senior photographers near me’, look no further. Our approach is built around storytelling. We take time to understand each senior, whether they want their senior photography to highlight their hobbies, adventurous – or less-adventurous – personality, or favorite sports. By designing a senior portrait session around their personality and story so far, we’ll make sure you’re left with senior pictures that feel authentic, creative, and timeless.
