Tyler M (Cary Academy Class of 2017) contacted My Friend Teresa Studios in June before his senior year for his senior picture Cary. Teresa had done portraits for his older brother, Thomas, so it was only natural!

Senior Picture Cary Tyler M

Teresa met with Tyler and his mom to plan his senior picture Cary session. Tyler loves sports, especially baseball. He was looking for an urban feel for his senior portraits, so Teresa recommended the Raleigh warehouse district. They also agreed to meet one evening at Cary Academy on the baseball field for some baseball action shots.

Teresa met Tyler in early August in downtown Raleigh. It was a little stormy, but the rain cleared just before the session started. They had a lot of fun (mostly due to Teresa’s corny jokes!) and got amazing shots.

A few days later they met late one afternoon at Cary Academy at the baseball field. Teresa had checked out Tyler’s jersey from the coach and they hit the field.  Tyler’s love of baseball was obvious and he was right at home there.

When Teresa reviewed all of the portraits from Tyler’s session, she took the opportunity to create black and white versions of some of Tyler’s baseball portraits.  The results were as incredible and as timeless as the game itself.  She also created a slide show of all of the proofs to share with the family.

Tyler and his mom, Amy, returned to the studio to see the slide show and then viewed the proofs on the gallery wall.  Tyler picked his yearbook photos, and together they chose their favorites for some mini-accordion books.  Teresa had also recalled Tyler’s brother Thomas’ portraits from several years earlier since she knew the family wanted to display portraits of both boys together.  With Amy’s input, Teresa designed a custom wall art canvas grouping of the two boys.  The result was stunning and when we professionally installed the canvases a few weeks later, the family was thrilled.  They also chose the full collection of digital files for Tyler, like they did for Thomas.

Tyler has graduated and moved on to his next adventure.  No doubt it will be a home run!
