Anne F had just started her senior year at Raleigh Charter High School (Class of 2016) and was ready to book her senior picture photographer.  Anne’s mom, Cindi, had worked with Teresa previously and loved her experience, so Anne scheduled her senior portraits with Teresa.

Anne F is a talented and caring young woman.  She is passionate about her health and is a yoga instructor – quite an accomplishment at such a young age.   For her senior picture photographer, she wanted someone who would capture her personality naturally….and also make it fun!  Teresa and Anne decided on a session at the JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh.

Teresa and Anne met at the Arboretum in the early fall.   The variety of colors and textures in this treasured natural setting made it the perfect spot for Anne.   Her brightly colored short dress, a long flowing white dress, and a flowered kimono were just the right compliment to the plants and flowers.  She was especially at home in her yoga clothes relaxing on her mat in the open green grass in the serene and quiet arboretum field.  Just as Anne wanted, there was the presence of nature in every shot.

Anne and her mom, Cindi, were thrilled with the senior pictures.  Anne picked her favorite for her yearbook photo, and then they decided on several prints for family and friends.  In fact, Anne and her parents were so excited about their senior pictures, that they booked another session with Teresa just for yoga pictures.

For the early spring yoga session, Anne and Teresa chose an unconventional location – the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh.  The colorful but rough urban landscape was an interesting backdrop for Anne in her yoga poses.  The most memorable moment was when they were leaving the session.  Teresa spotted two construction trailers and had Anne put her mat between them (avoiding the construction debris!).  The result is one of Teresa’s favorite portraits of the season and it has a treasured spot on our studio wall!

Cindi and Anne loved the yoga portraits and chose a beautiful keepsake envelope-style folio box.  The box holds 15 matted prints and has a small display easel.  A great option for sharing one photo at a time, while keeping the others safe and easily accessible for enjoying.

Anne has graduated and is off to her next adventure.  She plans to continue her volunteer work in Guatemala, attend an extended Outward Bound program, and pursue her college degree.
