In early June, Cole S (Cary Academy Class of 2018) contacted us about his senior pictures. We met with him and mom, Nicole, and learned more about what he was looking for. At Cary Academy, Cole was a part of the lacrosse and wrestling teams and enjoyed working out in the weight room. He also worked at SAS in the summer as a programmer and liked to hang out with his friends in his free time. For his senior pictures, he wanted something laid-back and outdoorsy, and we knew exactly what we’d do.

Senior Pictures Cary: Cole S 2018

Teresa met Cole in late July in downtown Cary. Cole wore a suit jacket, white button down, gray vest, and dark blue jeans that went well with the ivy covered wall. Next, he wore a blue floral shirt and lighter blue jeans that provided a nice pop of color against a white background. Then we traveled to the Reedy Creek extension where Cole switched out his top for a long sleeved gray and maroon tee. We got some awesome pictures of him sitting on top of a doorless Jeep. We finished out the senior picture session on the dock with Cole wearing a short-sleeved white button down and gray jeans. We were so excited that he was so willing to fall backwards into the water.

Teresa selected over 50 portraits from the session to show Cole and his parents a few weeks later. With guidance from Teresa, Cole chose his yearbook photos, which Teresa submitted to the Cary Academy yearbook staff on his behalf. Cole and his parents also used the studio gallery wall to sort the portraits into their favorites and some “maybes”. From these selections, they ordered the digital files to have all of the portraits and video on hand to look back on in the future.

Cole graduated in May 2018 and is headed to Duke University, where he is considering pursuing finance and computer science.
