We met with Eddie S (Cary Academy Class of 2018) and his mom, Janeen, in late July to talk about his senior picture session. Eddie, who spent most of last summer at Governor’s School in Winston Salem for vocal music, is a commanding presence on stage. He was a member of the chorus program and had roles in several Cary Academy productions. Eddie is kind-hearted, respectful, and loyal with a sarcastic edge and a killer sense of fashion. After our planning session with Eddie, we knew that something artsy, edgy, and urban would be perfect to bring out his personality in his senior pictures.

Senior Pictures Cary: Eddie S 2018

Teresa and Eddie met in downtown Durham in late August for his senior pictures. He looked sharp dressed in shades of brown and blue against brick backgrounds. Eddie also wore a pink t-shirt and blue jeans for a nice pop of color. To highlight his performing side, we brought a microphone with us and added a smoke affect, and Eddie rocked a white t-shirt, black pants, and a blue jacket. He definitely looked like a star as people came up to him to ask who he was and if he was famous.

Teresa selected over 50 senior pictures from the session to show Eddie and his parents a few weeks later. With guidance from Teresa, Eddie chose his yearbook photos, which Teresa submitted to the Cary Academy yearbook staff on his behalf. Eddie and his parents had so many favorite senior pictures on the gallery wall, they couldn’t part with any of them and ordered the digital files to have all of the senior pictures and video on hand to look back on in the future. They also chose to order four unframed canvases, a framed and matted print, a card set, and three 5×7 prints.

Eddie graduated in May 2018 and is headed to University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
