In mid June, we met with Emma G (Cary Academy Class of 2018) and her mom, Lisa, to get to know her and learn what she wanted for her senior picture session. Emma has a bright and bubbly personality and a love for art, fashion, and city life. One of her favorite things to do in her free time is hang out with her friends, get dressed up, and go out to dinner. For her senior pictures, we wanted something bright, simple, and modern that represented her very fashion forward vibe.

Senior Pictures Cary: Emma G 2018

Teresa met Emma in late July for her senior picture session at our studio in downtown Cary. Emma started in a black scoop neck top and blue jeans that balanced well with the greenery in the background and helped to bring out the color of her eyes. Next, she donned a red v-neck top and black jeans for some senior pictures inside the Mayton Inn lobby. Lastly, Emma wore a long sleeved white shirt, blue jeans, and black boots for some quirky senior pictures featuring murals and Fresh local ice cream.

Teresa selected over 50 portraits from the session to show Emma and her parents a few weeks later. With guidance from Teresa, Emma chose her yearbook photos, which Teresa submitted to the Cary Academy yearbook staff on her behalf. Emma and her parents also used the studio gallery wall to sort the portraits into their favorites and some “maybes”. From these selections, they chose a 20×20 canvas, a set of 25 graduation announcements, and a 5×7 acrylic block. Additionally, they ordered the digital files to have all of the portraits and video on hand to look back on in the future.

Emma graduated in May 2018 and is headed to George Washington University, where she will be a part of the business school and is considering majoring in marketing or international business.
