Meet Sophia
We were thrilled to recently capture Sophia’s senior pictures, and we loved getting to know her, and letting her likes (and dislikes!) shape our session. It became clear early in the process that for Sophia, we would need to focus her senior portraits on being colorful, full of refined nature, and natural beauty. She imagined herself surrounded by flowers and by the water, something beautiful and peaceful.
We brought Sophia’s vision to life for her senior pictures, making sure that she was surrounded by beautiful blooms in these gorgeous flower fields in Raleigh, NC.
Beautiful Blooms and Lakeside Sunset
With that vision in mind, we planned two sessions that brought Sophia’s ideas to life. The first session took place in a field of pink and purple cosmos flowers, in her hometown of Raleigh. This senior portrait session captured Sophia surrounded by ethereal, feminine blooms, framing her with soft color, and giving her senior pictures a classic-yet-whimsical feel.
From there we moved on to Jordan Lake, at golden hour, where the sun slowly set across the shoreline. This session created a very different feeling for her senior pictures. The sandy banks and gentle waves brought the atmosphere of a coastal setting, while still being close to home. As the sun dropped lower and its light reflected across the water, we captured Sophia in complementing outfits for the perfect senior pictures with a coastal feel. This helped us to create a diverse collection of senior portraits that showed the best of the area she calls home, and in spaces that she felt the most relaxed and like herself. We loved seeing Sophia in her element, amongst the natural beauty that complemented her own.
