As the summer was getting into full swing, Anneka K. was looking forward to her senior year (Cary Academy Class of 2017). She contacted My Friend Teresa Studios for her senior portrait Cary.

A few weeks later, Anneka and her mom met with Teresa at the studio. At the planning meeting, we learned that Anneka has many loves: including field hockey, reading, and babysitting. She is editor of her yearbook at Cary Academy, so Teresa was especially honored to work with her. Anneka loves spending time with her 3 sisters and was just planning a mission trip to New York.
Anneka preferred a urban look for her portraits, so she chose the Raleigh warehouse district. She also let Teresa know that it was important to her to capture a portrait highlighting her special birthstone ring. Each of her sisters have the special ring featured in their senior portraits and it was important for Anneka too.
Teresa met Anneka in late July for her portrait session. Anneka was enjoying a special night with her parents before heading to New York on her mission trip the next day. Anneka looked beautiful against the urban landscape, including the bright blue “Raleigh” mural, and exposed brick warehouses. There were great portraits and lots of smiles with her hockey stick, and the special birthstone ring. Anneka was comfortable sitting on a bench, and laughed as she posed near a colorful (but awesome) dumpster.
A few weeks later, Anneka and her family joined Teresa to see Anneka’s video and portraits. Anneka chose her yearbook photos. Teresa also worked with them to create some beautiful wall art to work with some existing frames and artwork. They also chose a beautiful custom design linen album to mark this milestone time for Anneka.
Anneka has completed her senior year and is off to her new adventures. We have no doubt her passions will carry her on to great things!
