Summer was just getting started and Tommy B was looking forward to his senior year (Class of 2017, Cary Academy). Older brother Mitchell did senior portraits with My Friend Teresa Studios and had a great experience, so Tommy chose us for his senior portrait Cary session.

Senior Portrait Cary: Tommy B Class of 2017

Tommy and his mom met Teresa in mid-June for a planning session. We learned that Tommy loves hiking and nature. We agreed that West Point on the Eno was the perfect location for his senior portrait Cary session!

On an early July evening, Teresa met Tommy at West Point on the Eno, only to find they were setting up for a large weekend festival. Teresa joked that she would just take Tommy’s portraits in front of the funnel cake truck! Instead, they found some quiet natural spots – including a snake on the rocks. The Eno River was fast-moving due to recent rains, but Tommy loved the adventure. He sat in his camp chair surrounded by the moving water. He also found a walking stick to steady himself as he waded out. Of course, this meant that Teresa got wet too….up to her knees in the swirling water for some epic shots!

At the studio a few weeks later, Tommy and his mom met with Teresa for the big reveal. Teresa and Tommy laughed together as they reviewed the epic session. Tommy chose his senior portrait for the yearbook.

Teresa recalled Tommy’s brother Mitchell’s portraits from the archives and designed a wall grouping for the family – one canvas of each brother. Teresa also designed some mini-accordion books for each of the brothers. The family just couldn’t miss out on all the portraits, so they also purchased the full digital collection so they can print and enjoy as much as they want.

Tommy is graduating soon and will no doubt be off on his next big (outdoor) adventure.
