Claire was in the middle of a busy summer break when she contacted My Friend Teresa Studios about senior portrait ideas (Cary Academy Class of 2017). Claire’s mom works at Cary Academy and knows Teresa. Teresa had also done sister Caroline’s senior portraits, so it was only natural!
Senior Portrait Ideas: Claire D
At the planning meeting, Teresa learned that Claire had some specific ideas for her senior shoot. She wanted to include some unique locations, unusual situations, and fashion-y outfits. Teresa recommended several eclectic spots in downtown Durham and they agreed that would give them a lot of options.
They met on a late August evening, but could see a thunderstorm brewing. They started the shoot, but decided to stop when trash on the ground started blowing around and the skies darkened. They re-scheduled the rest of the shoot for a few days later. When they met again, the skies were clear and they found some unique downtown Durham spots. They got some fun shots buying a slushy drink at the gas station. The parking garage gave some awesome urban backgrounds.
Claire and her mother returned to the studio to see their senior portrait ideas displayed as matted prints on the gallery wall – a whole wall of Claire! They loved the way Teresa captured Claire’s personality and brought her senior portrait ideas to life. They chose the entire collection of full resolution digital files to enjoy and share. They also asked Teresa to design graduation announcements in the spring.
Claire has graduated and is off to find new adventures….and slushy drinks!
