The summer was in full swing when Eve T (Cary Academy, Class of 2017) contacted us about senior portraits. Teresa had done senior portraits for Eve’s good friend, Griffin, so she knew she wanted us to create something amazing for her, too. We were thrilled, and quickly booked Eve for a planning session to come up with some great senior portrait ideas.
Senior Portrait Ideas Eve T
Eve and her mom came to studio to discuss their senior portrait ideas. We learned that Eve is active in musical theater, debate, and boxing. She was seeking a location with cool architecture and a retro feel. Eve wanted some serious portraits, but also some that were fun and silly. Teresa recommended downtown Durham has the perfect shoot location.
Teresa met Eve (and her cousin from Ireland) in Durham in late July. It was the hottest day of the year so far!. The heat was oppressive, but they gave it a try and the shoot was epic! Teresa was able to get special permission to shoot in retro-themed Parker and Otis restaurant which thrilled Eve. The environment was the perfect match for her personality…and she loved the assortment of chocolates. They continued their journey around Durham for some unique shots…including in a parking deck. Finally, as Eve was in front of the iconic blue flower mural, an even more awesome surprise happened….someone let Eve take pictures with their adorable puppy. Everyone laughed that her hair matched perfectly with the puppy!
A few weeks later Eve and her mom joined Teresa for the big reveal. They loved watching the video slideshow of Eve’s portraits. Eve chose her portraits for the yearbook. Together they chose their 10 favorites for full resolution digital files that they can print and share with family and friends as much as they want.
Eve graduated from Cary Academy recently and is off to her next adventure!
