A month into her senior year, Jackie contacted My Friend Teresa for her senior portraits. We worked with her for some awesome senior portrait looks.
Senior Portrait Looks: Jackie R
Teresa met with Jackie and her mom to plan the session and all the senior portrait looks. Jackie is the captain of the school tennis team and was elected senior class president, so she is busy! She is adventurous and loves having a good time. She wanted senior portrait looks that were not too girly or forced. She loves the downtown Raleigh Historic City Market area, which perfectly fits her free-flowing style.
After a rain delay on the original shoot date in late September, Teresa and Jackie met in downtown Raleigh on a cool early October evening. It was the coolest weather yet for a senior shoot. Hurricane Matthew had just blown through the day before, so it was windy but very pleasant. The wind was actually a fun aspect of the shoot! Teresa’s assistant, Madison, stood in line for ice cream (for a special shot) and incredibly it was the longest line they had all year. They even ran out of vanilla!
Jackie was at ease and laughing in no time. Teresa got some great shots of her that reflected her ideas for senior portrait looks – nothing forced or too girly. She looked like she was just hanging out with friends looking awesome.
After the session, Jackie and her mom came to the studio to view the results. The gallery wall of over 60 matted proof prints allowed them to touch and move the portraits, and with Teresa’s guidance they sorted their favorites and picked Jackie’s yearbook portraits. In the end, they loved them all so they chose the collection of digital files to have and share in full resolution.
After our professional retouch process, we provided Jackie and her mom with a USB drive of their portraits in a keepsake wooden box.
Jackie graduated from Cary Academy in the spring of 2017. She looks back fondly on her senior portrait experience as one of the first real ‘senior year’ experiences.
