It was still winter, but Cate P was planning her busy summer and reached out to us to schedule her senior portraits Cary.  We were excited to get to know her!

Senior Portraits Cary:  Golf in a Satellite Park and a Magazine-worthy Cover

We met with Cate at our studio to plan and create the perfect senior portrait session.  Cate is an avid golfer and writer.  Her friends love her quick smile – and we do too!  We got busy planning a Senior Portraits Cary itinerary that was perfect to capture Cate’s personality…an ambitious 5 locations and 6 outfits!

With a busy summer planned, we met in Cate P at her home in early June to help her select outfits for her session.  She was glad to have that settled early and was off to her summer adventures.

On a warm afternoon in late July, Cate started her session with hair and make up services by our in-house artist, Denise.  As soon as she was done, we hopped next door to our studio for a quick magazine-worthy portrait session.  Denise travelled with us for all of Cate’s last minute hair and make up needs during the entire session.

Next it was off to our secret locations (4 of them we had never used before!) in downtown Durham.  Cate was beautiful in her bright blue top against some rustic barnwood.  Teresa got attacked by flies, but everyone else did not – -they laughed that Teresa was the bait!

The fun continued with Cate in her striped bell-bottom pants, brown cap and an urban street scene.

Teresa found a wooden bridge, where Cate, wearing a flowing orange skirt, was joined by her furry friends, Callie and Max.

What session is not complete without a little golf in a satellite park at sunset?  There were a few close calls with the camera, but anything for the perfect portrait!

A local graffiti tunnel provided a colorful backdrop for some spray painting fun.

And, of course, we captured Cate’s whole senior portraits Cary session in the behind-the-scenes video.

We were thrilled to put together the portraits and behind-the-scenes video to share with Cate and her family a few weeks later.  So many amazing choices!  Cate and her family used our studio gallery wall to sort and pick their favorites for yearbook, wall art, and a keepsake album.  They couldn’t part with any of the portraits, so they also selected their full digital collection.

Cate is preparing for her next big adventure and we can’t wait to see what is next!
