Claire and her family are part of our studio family. In the past 2 years, we created senior portraits for her sister Sarah Page S, and timeless portraits for her whole family. Now it is Claire’s turn for high school senior photos.
Senior Portraits Cary: A Horse Named Plush
Our planning meeting for high school senior photos was focused on getting to know Claire, her particular interests and her style. We learned that she loves her horse, Plush, and spends time every day swimming before school (St. Mary’s Class of 2020). She also babysits and was planning a trip to Africa for the summer. For her high school senior photos she wanted a casual, cute style, and portraits with her horse. We got busy planning the perfect high school senior photo session.
A few days before her session, we met with Claire at her home to help select outfits for her session. Her casual selections were perfect for the itinerary we had planned.
For Claire’s session, we started her session in downtown Durham at a few off-the-beaten-path locations to give a good mix of urban and country, before heading to her barn. The whole studio team took turns loving on Plush, her dark chestnut color horse. Claire had gone out early in the morning to give him a bath, so he was shiny and pretty for the session. Claire knows a certain part of his back to scratch and he twists his head like a little dog! The behind the scenes video captured it all, and her portraits were just what she hoped for.
Claire and her family were excited to return to the studio a few weeks later to view her behind-the-scenes video, and to see her high school senior photos. They selected 20-30 of their favorite images for a custom-designed album, and a unique acrylic block print for a desk display. Claire chose her favorite for a canvas for her room, and another for a family canvas display. To share with family and friends, they chose their full digital collection of all of the images.
Teresa custom designed the album, and when everything was ready, we visited the family to install the canvases and deliver their order. They were thrilled! We can’t wait for our next opportunity to work with them.
