Claudia Z heard from several friends at school about our studio and contacted us for Senior Portraits Cary. It was spring of her junior year, but she knew we were booking quickly and she had a busy summer planned. She was excited about our unique senior picture ideas.
Senior Portraits Cary: Dancing with a smile
We met with Claudia Z and learned that she loves gymnastics and dancing and lots of color. Our creative and unique senior picture ideas started to flow! As we planned her senior portraits Cary experience, we learned she had a busy summer planned in Michigan, so we scheduled her session for late summer when she returned.
We visited Claudia at her home before she left for Michigan to help her select clothing. Even though the session was a couple of months away, Claudia was happy to know her outfits were already chosen.
In early August, Claudia and our team gathered for her session in downtown Durham. It had been raining all day, so as one of her unique senior picture ideas, Teresa had visions of Claudia jumping over rain puddles. The rain had stopped and the puddles dried up…but they found a fire hydrant that was being purged. Teresa had Claudia’s dad pull up his car with lights reflecting on the water. Her sister and our assistant held the lights, Teresa stood in the mud/water….and amazing Claudia jumped over the water in true dancer style!
Claudia was comfortable in the ubran setting, and her outfits were perfect. We even found green grass and trees to balance out the scenes….oh, and a parking garage!
Teresa included a portrait of her with little sister as a nice memory of the session.
Claudia was excited to see her portraits and behind the scenes video when she and her family came to the studio a few weeks later for the ‘big reveal’.
Claudia and her family loved the portraits and chose their favorite 10 from nearly 100 proofs for a digital collection.
Claudia has graduated and is dancing off to her next adventure…no doubt with that big smile.
