Helen C was looking forward to her senior year (Class of 2020) and contacted us about a senior portrait session.  We arranged a meeting with her and her mom to plan an awesome senior portraits Cary session.

Senior Portraits Cary:  Swimming, an Abandoned Bridge, and a Piano

When we met, Helen told us about her love of swimming.  She has been swimming since she was 9 years old.  She swims 6 days a week and finds it is a great break from the pressures of school.  She also loves art, hiking, travel, and playing the piano.  In school her favorite subject is chemistry.

For her senior portraits Cary, she wanted to include nature – very green and earthy tones.  And she definitely wanted some portraits swimming and playing the piano.  Our creative thoughts were flowing!  The team started to prepare, and helped Helen select her outfits.

We met Helen at Triangle Aquatics Center for a private session.  Teresa was not anticipating getting in the water…but anything for a great photo!  The portraits show Helen’s passion for the sport.

In downtown Cary, we got some casual portraits of Helen, with a natural background in the picturesque small town.

We stopped at Helen’s home for some intimate portraits of her playing the piano.

And for one last adventure, we went to one of our ‘secret’ locations – a nearby abandoned truss bridge.  Helen looked like she was on a travel adventure!

Justin used his drone to capture some great behind-the-scenes video.  Check it out:

Helen and her mom returned to the studio a few weeks later to view her portraits and video.  Helen chose her yearbook portraits, which we submitted for her.  Teresa helped them select a canvas wall-art grouping.  And together they chose their favorite portraits for a keepsake album.
