With summer in full swing before her senior year at St. Mary’s School, Isabel M.’s thoughts turned to her senior portraits (Class of 2020).  She wanted more than just the required school yearbook portrait and reached out to us for a full senior portrait experience!

Senior Portraits Cary:  A museum, a Horse, and some Sunglasses

We met with Isabel and her mom to learn more about what she was looking for in her senior portraits.   We learned Isabel loves horseback riding, music, and had just returned from a trip to France.  Her friends say she is funny and extroverted.  Isabel has also completed an internship at the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh.

For her senior portraits, she wanted light-hearted, natural expressions, with an urban vibe.  She also wanted to include portraits with her horse.  We got busy planning her session and helping her select her outfits.

For the first part of her session, we met Isabel in downtown Raleigh.  The Contemporary Art Museum is special to her, and we got special permission to photograph inside the museum.  Isabel was stunning in her white dress, and very natural in her more casual jeans.

We travelled to a few other locations in downtown Raleigh, and captured Isabel’s fun-loving spirit with her sunglasses and jeans.

Isabel loves her horse and riding, so we enjoyed watching their special bond at her equestrian facility.

And of course, it’s all on the behind-the-scenes video:

Isabel returned to the studio with her mom a few weeks later to view her portraits and video.  She selected a beautiful artist-style leather album that we custom designed using her favorite images.  Her mom chose a canvas, and a matching canvas of Isabel’s brother, Franklin, who we had done senior portraits for several years ago. Finally, they chose the full digital collection to share with family and friends.

Isabel is off to her next adventure!
