At the end of his junior year, Jack (Class of 2020) reached out to us about senior portraits Cary.  We still had some summer session dates left and were excited to meet Jack and plan his session.

Senior Portraits Cary:  Urban cool and a pool

Jack and his mom met with us at our studio for a planning meeting.  Jack loves swimming and has been swimming competitively for years.  In school, his favorite subjects are math and science.  He loves to hang out with his friends and family for simple laid-back activities.

For his senior portraits Cary, he wanted an urban vibe, with contrast and colors.  And he definitely wanted to document his passion for swimming.

We met Jack in downtown Raleigh on a hot summer evening.  The area offers a variety of urban backdrops – murals, alleys, and city streets.  Jack looked great in his dress shirt, jacket and tie.  There was street festival nearby, and a group of death-defying skateboarders filming a music video, but we managed.  We loved discovering a few new places that matched his suit vibes perfectly.

Our second session was at a local pool.  Jack’s passion for swimming was evident and he did dive after dive after dive until we got the perfect picture.

The behind-the-scenes video shows it all:

Jack and his family returned to our studio a few weeks later.  They chose two canvases for wall art, and a print.  Jack selected his yearbook photos and we submitted on his behalf.

We enjoyed meeting Jack and capturing part of his memorable senior year!
