Jessica H (Cary Academy Class of 2016) wanted senior portraits Cary in the summer before her senior year. Her friends shared their amazing portraits and fun experiences from My Friend Teresa studios, so she contacted us.
Senior Portraits Cary – Flowers and Music
We learned that Jessica has a passion for all kinds of music and loves to sing. A night of karaoke with her friends is the best! She wasn’t sure what location she wanted for her shoot, but after discussing it with Teresa and considering some different options, she decided on the warehouse district of Raleigh. She wanted a natural environment with a “70’s Woodstock” feeling. Teresa knew that the warehouse district offered that vintage vibe and some beautiful natural settings, so they set a date.
In early August just before school started, Jessica and Teresa met for the shoot. Jessica’s beautiful long hair and bright eyes were vibrant against the urban metal. Her black dress was stunning….and her casual jeans and black lace shirt were perfect for the wildflower field. Teresa had her comfortable and laughing in no time.
The most memorable part of the shoot was Jessica’s mom’s idea. They brought a colorful quilt and some vintage vinyl records and created a “Woodstock” inspired scene in the wildflower field. Jessica laid among the bright yellow flowers with her gorgeous hair spread around and she truly looked like a flower child of the 70’s.
A few weeks later, Jessica and her family met with Teresa to view the portrait proofs. There were so many amazing ones to choose from! Jessica chose her favorite for the yearbook and together they chose their top 12 for some mini-accordion books to share with family and friends. But they just couldn’t leave without all of them, so they purchased the full digital collection.
Jessica is inspired by her family’s love of science and math and aspires to be an engineer. She is proud to have aced Advanced Chemistry! Her college adventure has begun and this beautiful future-engineer is ready to take on the world.
