Jillian was one of the first to contact us to plan and schedule her Senior Portraits Cary for the Class of 2019. She had just returned from winter/holiday break of her junior year and got an announcement that we had opened our calendar for Senior Portraits Cary for the Class of 2019. A few years ago, we worked with her brother Ryan as his senior portrait photographer and created some of our favorite senior portraits. Jillian knew she wanted to work with us too.
Senior Portraits Cary: Strength and Recovery
Jillian and her mom came to the studio for a planning meeting in early March. Jillian has an amazing story of strength and recovery. She experienced a significant injury about a year earlier and was only a few days away from another major surgery. Never one to give up, she was excited for her senior portrait session to include her favorite sport of rock climbing. Jillian chose our fusion session, including video, and instantly had our creative thoughts whirling. We planned Jillian’s high school senior photo session for early summer after her surgery recovery.
The first part of Jillian’s fusion session was at Triangle Rock Club. Justin was excited to use our drone indoors to get breath-taking and unique senior picture action shots of Jillian climbing. He was also very happy he didn’t have to climb the wall himself to get the shots! Jillian’s physical and mental strength, and a few scars, are obvious in the portraits. She is truly inspirational.
We also wanted to capture other aspects of Jillian’s personality, so we scheduled a second portrait session at the Raleigh Rose Garden in early July. Her yellow dress was beautiful for the setting and was the perfect compliment to the roses in bloom.
Jillian and her mom returned to the studio a few weeks later for the big reveal. They watched the video (yes there were tears!), and then used our gallery wall to experience all of Jillian’s portrait proofs. Jillian made her yearbook selections, and together they chose a portrait for canvas wall art to match the one we did for her brother, Ryan. The made a few other selections from our product suite, and chose their favorite 10 images for digital files.
As Jillian’s senior year at Cary Academy got underway, we delivered her senior portrait products and installed the canvas in her home. She and her brother may not always be at home, but their portraits on the wall are a reminder that they are always there in spirit.
