Senior Portraits Cary: Kayla H 2018

After meeting with Kayla and her dad, Dave, in mid-July, we learned more about what she was looking for. Always with a smile on her face, Kayla is upbeat and positive, and we wanted to showcase her bright personality through her senior portraits.

Teresa met Kayla in early September at Fred Fletcher Park. There was a wedding portrait session going on at the same time, but the team made the most of the location and was able to work around it. Kayla looked gorgeous in a dark burgundy, velvet top and a pair of jeans against the green background and was a brilliant pop of color when she changed into a beautiful pink dress. We then moved the senior portrait session to downtown Raleigh, where Kayla changed into a red, lace top and blue jeans. The urban background was perfect for her senior portraits, especially the blue Raleigh wall, which contrasted nicely with her red shirt.

Teresa selected over 50 portraits from the session to show Kayla and her parents a few weeks later. With guidance from Teresa, Kayla chose her yearbook photos, which Teresa submitted to the Cary Academy yearbook staff on her behalf. Kayla and her parents also used the studio gallery wall to select her favorites, and they chose four 8×10 prints.

Kayla graduated in May 2018 and is headed to Clemson University, where she plans on studying chemical engineering with a minor in Chinese or business. She also hopes to live in Japan and teach English for a year before pursuing her masters degree and would love to work for a cosmetics company in the future.
