Keely and her family place a high value on photographs and were excited to get started with Keely’s senior portraits.  They met with us in the spring of Keely’s junior year, which seems early but it’s not!

Senior Portraits Cary:  Colorful Murals and a Puppy Splash Party

Keely (Cary Academy, Class of 2020) and her mom met with Teresa to learn about the My Friend Teresa Studios experience, and to plan her senior portrait session.  An important part of the planning is for Teresa to learn more about each senior so that she can customize their session.  Keely shared that she loves animals and wants to be a veterinarian.  She participates in cross-country track, and runs nearly everyday.  With her friends, she loves to share music, especially guitar and ukelele.

For her senior portraits Cary, she wanted colorful images, with a casual and comfortable small city vibe.  She definitely wanted to include animals in some portraits.  Her mom swears she is a dog whisperer!

We met Keely in downtown Raleigh at Marbles Museum about a week before she started her senior year.  The colorful mural there was exactly what Keely was looking for.  And an empty nearby parking deck was perfect for some portraits and video of her running.

Next stop was the Raulston Arboretum for a more natural setting with beautiful summer flowers.

Knowing that Keely loves animals, and was sad about the loss of her Wheaton terrier, we visited a friend’s backyard where we had arranged for her to give a Wheaton puppy a bath.  It was hilarious and messy and she used all of the skills that she has learned from acclaimed dog trainer, Javier.  Keely wasn’t so sure about getting in the pool with the puppy, Gibson, but once she was in, Gibson made sure she was covered in bubbles and water!

But honestly, the images don’t show all the fun!  Check out this behind-the-scenes video of her session:

Keely and her family returned to our studio a few weeks later.  Keely selected her yearbook photos and we submitted them on her behalf.  They loved the images and selected their favorite ten for digital images to share with family and friends, and a unique curved metal print.

We loved creating an amazing senior portraits Cary experience for Keely and capturing part of her memorable senior year!
