Looking forward to her senior year, Kyra (Green Hope, Class of 2021) was excited to be one of the first to book her senior portraits Cary with us. Her older sister Mikaela (Class of 2016) had a great experience with us and we were thrilled to meet Kyra and to work with the family again.
Senior Portraits Cary: A little crazy, and a little wet, but so much fun!
We met with Kyra and her mom during the winter of her junior year to plan her Senior Portraits Cary. We learned that Kyra loves swimming and music, especially Broadway. Her friends note she is energetic and caring…and a little crazy!
For her senior portrait session, Kyra wanted a casual vibe with some nature, and some urban scenes. She also loved the idea of a nighttime skyline. And of course she wanted to reflect her love of music and theater. Our creative team got started planning a session that captured her ideas.
A little before her first session, we met with Kyra at her home to ‘shop her closet’ for her sessions. One less thing to think about!
On her first session date, we met Kyra at our studio in downtown Cary for hair and make-up services with Deidre, followed by some dramatic studio portraits, and a visit to the historic Page Walker Arts Center to capture her love of theater.
Then it was off to downtown Raleigh for the rest of her first session. The session included a little nature, and a dramatic city skyline at sunset.
Pandemic protocols kept us from doing portraits of Kyra at her pool, but not to be deterred, our private ‘wet set’ was the perfect substitute. Kyra was a sport…even when covered in blue powder and water. We had a great time with this session and the portraits reflect the ‘little crazy’ side of Kyra with a nod to her love of swimming.
Kyra and her family were thrilled with the portraits, and we loved making Kyra’s vision for her senior portraits come to life!
