In early July, Leo T (Cary Academy Class of 2018) contacted us about his senior pictures. We met with him and mom, Jennifer, and learned more about what he was looking for.

Senior Portraits Cary: Leo T 2018

Leo is quiet, thoughtful, sensitive, and funny and very passionate about his interests. He has been playing the piano since he was five-years-old and took part in the jazz band in junior year. Leo has also fenced for several years, having done lessons through camps at Cary Academy and at Midsouth Fencing. Leo is also a very sharp dresser and has an urban style, so we wanted to bring that out through his senior pictures.

Teresa met Leo for his senior picture session in late July in downtown Durham. He started his senior picture session in a blue and purple button down and khaki pants paired with red sneakers for a semi-formal look that looked fantastic with the greenery and concrete backgrounds. Then he put on his white fencing uniform for some action shots. We then traveled to his house where he donned a crisp tuxedo for some senior pictures with his grand piano. His mom insisted on including their cat, which made for some purrfect photographs.

Teresa selected over 50 senior pictures from the session to show Leo and his parents a few weeks later. With guidance from Teresa, Leo chose his yearbook photos, which Teresa submitted to the Cary Academy yearbook staff on his behalf. Leo and his parents also used the studio gallery wall to sort the portraits into their favorites and some “maybes”. From these selections, they chose an 8×8 linen album and a 5×7 Musea print. Additionally, they ordered one digital file and the video to have on hand to look back on in the future.

Leo graduated in May 2018 and is headed to Davidson College.
