With senior year fast approaching, Lincoln and his sister Olivia (twins!) got in touch to schedule their senior portraits Cary (Cary Academy Class of 2021).
Senior Portraits Cary: Baseball Field, Train Station, and a Pile of Rocks
We met with Lincoln (Cary Academy Class of 2021) and his mom in the spring of his junior year at our studio to plan his Senior Portraits Cary. We learned that Lincoln loves being with his family and friends. He has been playing baseball since he was 5 years old and is on the varsity team at school. He likes video games, working out, and being a great uncle. One of his proudest moments was a perfect ACT score. His friends say he is casual, laid back, and funny. Mom says he works hard, loves to cook, and is a little shy.
For his senior portraits Cary, Lincoln wanted to include nature, a little bit of urban vibe, and definitely some baseball portraits on the field at his school. Our creative team got busy planning the perfect session for that summer.
We scheduled Lincoln’s first portrait session for early July and met with him a few weeks before that to help him select his outfits. One less thing to worry about!
For Lincoln’s first Senior Portraits Cary session, we started at our studio with hair and make-up services by Denise. Lincoln is a little shy, but we knew we could get him to laugh…he made us work for it, but we knew it was in there! The studio portraits were worthy of a magazine cover. He looked amazing stretched out in our antique wood chair.
After the studio, we went to downtown Raleigh. At Union Station, we made quick work of getting amazing portraits on this super-hot day. We even snuck inside for a silly portrait of Lincoln sliding down the stairs. It was all fun and games until he landed with a Thump! But he (and his phone) survived the foolishness.
At our second session with Lincoln, we started at the Cary Academy baseball field. Teresa has made special arrangements to get his uniform, and he looked right at home!
After that we went to our private farm location, where a mountain of old rocks and a sledgehammer set the scene. We have had a ‘strong man’ shoot on our bucket list for a long time and Lincoln puts a lot of time into his workouts. He was the perfect person to pull off our creative ideas…even better that we could have imagined!

Lincoln and his family returned to the studio a few weeks later to watch the behind-the-scenes video and a slideshow of all his portraits. Using our gallery wall, Lincoln chose his yearbook portraits. His family chose complimentary canvases of Lincoln and twin sister Olivia, an heirloom album for Lincoln, and some unique desktop presentations. They loved all the images and decided on the full collection of digital files.
We loved working with this family and capturing this special time for Lincoln!
