With great anticipation for her upcoming senior year at Cary Academy, Maria scheduled her Senior Portraits Cary experience with us.   We had some unique senior picture ideas and couldn’t wait to get started.

Senior Portraits Cary: Cheers and Urban Smiles

Maria came to our studio for a planning meeting.  This is a very important time for Teresa to get to know her, and to come up with some unique senior picture ideas.  Maria loves her dog Zoe, and fishing with her dad at the beach.  She has a passion for environmental science and policy.  She is a cheerleader at Cary Academy and this inspired us to do something a little different for her session, along with the urban vibe she likes.

We met with Maria at her home and helped her identify outfits for her session.  And a few weeks later, on a hot summer evening, we met her in downtown Durham. The team was excited to try out some new locations.  Maria’s mom’s car died during the session, so Maria rode with Teresa and Justin for the session.

A few days later, Maria came to the studio to experience our unique senior picture ideas.  She dressed in her cheerleading uniform and we cut up our own blue and gold confetti.  Mom helped!  It was a mess, but it was great fun.  And it was all captured on her behind the scenes video:

Maria and her mom were excited to return to the studio to view her behind-the-scenes video, and a slide show of all of her portraits.  It wasn’t easy, but they chose their favorites and enjoyed sorting them on our gallery wall.

Maria has graduated and is ‘cheer’fully embracing life after high school!
