RJ reached out to us in the spring of his junior year to plan Senior Portraits Cary. It was the beginning of an amazing experience!
Senior Portraits Cary: Are you a model?
RJ and his mom met with us at the studio and we learned that RJ loves track and cross-country running. He has a great sense of humor, but is also a serious student. He has a very close relationship with his younger sister, Anya. We scheduled his Senior Portraits Cary fusion session, which includes behind-the-scenes video, for mid-summer.
For the first Senior Portraits Cary session, Teresa, Justin and our team met RJ in downtown Durham. It was just after a rainstorm, so it was warm and humid. RJ looked great in his suit. He gets the prize for great senior picture ideas for guys with the most pedestrians asking if he was a model on a fashion shoot!
For the second session, the focus was on running outdoors. The team met RJ and his family at West Point on the Eno armed with some great senior picture ideas for guys outside. Ironically, his first session was right after a storm, but for this second session the team had to use 12 gallons for water to create some puddles and splash effects. Little sister Anya helped with holding the lighting.
A few weeks later, RJ and his family returned to the studio to view the behind-the-scenes video and a slide show of all his images. They then used our studio gallery wall to view and sort through over 60 proof prints. With Teresa’s help, RJ selected his yearbook portraits. The family decided they wanted several canvases for a wall in their home that features family portraits. They also selected a set of 10 digital files.
In the spring of his senior year, RJ and his family took advantage of the free family session to round out their family portrait wall, including a few portraits of little sister, Anya.
Our studio art installer, Scott, worked with the family to plan the family portrait wall and will install the canvases when the family is ready.
RJ has graduated and is no doubt running full speed into his next big adventure. His family treasures the memories of his senior year portrait session ….and we are excited to work with little sister, Anya, in a few years!
