Middle Creek High School Class of 2020 senior Shelby C. wanted senior portraits that were more memorable than the school-required ones. We were excited to meet her and customize a senior portraits Cary session for this talented senior.
Senior Portraits Cary: A Field of Dreams
Shelby is a talented softball player, who was being recruited by several schools. Shelby plays for her school, participates in summer camps, and plays on a local travelling team. She is a no nonsense girl who knows exactly what she wants.
For her senior portraits Cary, Shelby of course wanted to showcase softball. She likes a country vibe, but not too flowery – mostly open fields. She has an awesome truck that she wanted to include in some portraits.
We had the perfect spot for the first part of Shelby’s session – our private farm. We watched in awe as Shelby backed the truck down a small wagon path at the farm. Her parents bought the truck when they got married, so it has been in the family for years. And it couldn’t have been more perfect that Farmer Bob had a ‘Field of Dreams’ sign in front of the corn field.
By the time we met Shelby for her second senior portrait session, she had committed to play softball for Appalachian State University. We talked a lot about her college decision process and getting ready to play college softball. We loved capturing images of Shelby on the softball field.
It’s all on the behind-the-scenes video:
Shelby returned to the studio with her family a few weeks later to view her portraits and video. They loved them all and chose the full collection of digital files.
We were thrilled that Shelby and her family also took advantage of our free family session offer for our senior portrait clients. So in the spring of her senior year, we re-visited our private farm and created memorable family portraits to capture this special time before Shelby was off on her next adventure.
