A few weeks before the start of his senior year (Cary Academy, Class of 2021), Vibhav reached out to schedule a meeting to plan a senior portraits Cary session with us. Little did we know how much fun was coming our way!
Senior Portraits Cary: So many talents, so much fun!
We met with Vibhav and his family at our studio to plan his Senior Portraits Cary. We learned that Vibhav has a wide variety of interests including reading, tennis, and singing. He is a self-proclaimed ‘fitness freak’ and is co-captain of the school tennis team. He loves science and math, is involved in the Science Olympiad and especially loves studying different languages. His family travels in India often and their family connection is very important. His friends say he is hard working, involved in a lot of things, but always keeps the big picture in mind.
For his senior portraits Cary, he definitely wanted to include his love of tennis, a traditional Indian outfit, and some urban vibes. He also wanted to reflect his love of fitness, his family traditions, and anything ‘cool’ we could come up with! We got started planning his senior portrait Cary sessions to be sure and capture all of his varied interests.
We scheduled Vibha’s first portrait session for late August and met with him a few weeks before that to help him select his outfits. Our team was excited to get started.
For Vibhav’s first Senior Portraits Cary session, we met him in Downtown Durham. Vibhav’s parents get the record for most steps counted during a senior portrait session. Everywhere we went they took a walk together, watching the session from a distance but also getting that daily step count! Meanwhile Vibhav was killing it in the jeans and suit coat look. He might have been sweating but it doesn’t look like it! On the drive in we spotted that the Durham Public Library has a giant “V” in the columns and we took that as a sign to create an insane portrait for Vibhav. We ended the night on a pedestrian bridge over Durham with light painting to create insane portraits.
We met a few weeks later for Vibhav’s second Senior Portraits Cary session. The session started at his temple for traditional Indian portraits.
Then it was on to Cary Academy for some amazing portraits in the weight room and on the tennis courts.

Vibhav and his family returned to the studio a few weeks later to watch the behind-the-scenes video and a slideshow of all of his portraits. Using our gallery wall, Vibhav chose his yearbook portraits. They loved all the images and decided on the full collection of digital files.
We loved working with this family and are excited to follow Vibhav’s adventures.
