Kaela C was enjoying the spring of her junior year when she and her family reached out to us to schedule her Senior Portraits Cary session.  She had a busy summer planned, so we got started planning a couple of session dates to capture all of her many interests.

Senior Portraits Cary:  Beach, Theater, Urban, and a Cotillion

Kaela is a member of Cary Academy, Class of 2020.  We met with her and her family to get to know her so that we could plan her Senior Portraits Cary sessions and pick locations that were perfect.

Kaela loves theater and film, and especially enjoys working behind the scenes to plan and direct.  She is also a fan of historical non-fiction, reading, and foreign policy.  She loves ice cream and participates in an international relations program.

With so many aspects of her life, our creative team had a hard time narrowing down all of our location options to the perfect ones!  We ended up with several different session dates to capture it all.

For one session, we met Kaela at the studio for hair and make-up services.  The team then travelled to downtown Durham for some urban looks in her casual camo skirt and jean shorts.  And ice cream….which melted quickly in the heat!

Her next session included portraits reflecting her love of theater at both the Cary Academy theater, and a local vintage theater, The Cary.

This session finished with some ‘business look’ portraits with our special access at the elegant Mayton Inn in Cary.

Kaela took advantage of our beach portraits session, available to all of our senior portrait clients.  She was fabulous in her black dress and a hat from our wardrobe closet.

One other important aspect of Kaela’s senior year was her participation in a cotillion.  We did some magazine-worthy portraits in her cotillion dress at our studio.

Kaela and her family returned to our studio to view over 100 proof prints…so many they wouldn’t even all fit on our gallery wall!  Kaela selected her yearbook portraits, and 20-30 favorites for a keepsake album, with matching grandparent books.  They also selected some canvas wall art, and some desk-top pieces for Mom and Dad.  With so many wonderful portraits, they also chose the full digital collection.

We loved capturing the many sides of Kaela in her senior portraits.  She is sure to make a positive impact wherever her next adventures take her!
