As Nathan was planning his summer before senior year at Cary Academy, he knew he wanted to include his senior portrait session with us as his senior portrait photographer.  We had photographed his brother Matthew and mom needed a matching portrait!

Senior Portraits Cary:  Cool and Casual

We were excited to meet with Nathan and hear more about his interests.  We learned he loves physics, engineering, video games, and baking.  He also plays tennis and watches superhero movies with friends.   For his senior portraits, he wanted a fairly casual, urban setting with some natural elements.  As an experienced senior portrait photographer, Teresa knew the ideal locations.

We met with Nathan and his family at their home to pick Nathan’s outfits for the session.  We also measured and photographed the canvas of Matthew that they wanted to match in a wall grouping.

In late summer, we met in downtown Durham.  It was very warm, but Nathan seemed cool, even with his shirt and tie.  After some more ‘formal’ portraits, he changed into a casual outfit.  For the last part of the session, we went to nearby West Point on the Eno for some early evening portraits in a natural setting.

Nathan and his mom were excited to see the results when they returned to our studio a few weeks later.  Mom selected the perfect portrait to match Matthew’s for her wall art grouping.  Together they selected their favorite 10 for digital files.

We loved getting acquainted with Nathan and are thrilled as a senior portrait photographer when our families return to us.  We know that the family will enjoy the wall art grouping of Nathan and Matthew, especially now that they are both off to new opportunities.
