Meet Nathan Moore, a high school senior with a love of competitive rowing. Nathan’s senior pictures took place in the vibrant setting of Downtown Raleigh and at Lake Wheeler in North Carolina, where we captured his passion for the water and his sport. As a member of the Triangle Rowing Club, Nathan feels at home by the water, and his session perfectly reflected that. With a coastal aesthetic and beach theme, we focused on highlighting his connection to rowing, his athleticism, and his down-to-earth personality. This classic session beautifully blended formal and casual outfits, creating a cohesive collection of portraits tied together by a neutral color palette.

The Portrait Session: A Reflection of Dedication and Hard Work
Nathan’s senior portrait session was carefully crafted to highlight his commitment to rowing and the dedication that comes with being an athlete. We began in the heart of Downtown Raleigh, where the urban landscape provided a stylish backdrop for his portraits and Nathan was dressed more formally to match the sophisticated Downtown atmosphere. However, to create a dynamic collection of portraits, we utilized a variety of locations throughout Downtown Raleigh and Lake Wheeler. While the urban settings added depth and contrast to the session, the serene environment of Lake Wheeler allowed us to capture Nathan in his element, by the water. Being by the Lake, combined with soft golden hour light and beach-inspired tones, gave the portraits a relaxed and timeless feel. These diverse locations allowed Nathan’s senior pictures to reflect his versatility and his love for rowing.
Throughout the session, we focused on Nathan’s role as a competitive rower. His hard work and training were evident, and we aimed to capture the strength and discipline that define his approach to the sport. Posing by the water at Lake Wheeler, Nathan looked completely at ease, embodying the calm confidence of an experienced rower. By incorporating these meaningful elements, we created portraits that highlight not only his disciplined athleticism but also his natural connection to the water and the sport he loves.
